Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter break and were able to have some time to rest and relax with family ahead of the start of the Summer Term. The children have returned to school with huge smiles on their faces and the weather has certainly put a Spring of hope and excitement into all of our hearts. You really can feel the happiness of the children as your walk around the schools and they have all been enjoying sharing what they have done during their holidays, which has been really lovely!
Our assembly theme this week explored our Federation value RESPECT. Respect is a word that describes how we behave towards one another, towards people older than us and towards people in authority. We discussed how showing respect to someone demonstrates how much we value them. We then went on to pay our respects to His Royal Highness Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, and learnt about his life and his many achievements. The children were really interested
in learning about his early career in the Navy and how he saved his ship and crew from a night bombing attack during the invasion of Sicily in July 1943. As the Government continues to ease the lockdown restrictions, please rest assured that we are looking at how this impacts on us as a Federation. We will keep you updated with any changes that we are able to make. We hope that you all have a wonderful weekend and continue to keep safe.
Miss J. Concannon
Federation Headteacher
