Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have had a very exciting couple of weeks across the Federation and Trust. Last Monday, Mrs Kozlowski recorded a wonderful assembly for all of the children across the Trust to watch. She launched the new Trust name ‘Bright Futures Learning Trust’ and told us about the four priorities for the Trust. Mrs Kozlowski visited all of the schools in her video and children in each year group are now busy working on an activity alongside their peers at Goldsworth and St Johns Primary Schools to think about what it is to have a Bright Future.
Last Friday, Mrs Kozlowski and Mrs Bergamasco our Federation School Improvement Partner alongside our senior leaders looked at Teaching and Learning across the Federation. We spoke to some of the children about their learning at school, their experiences of remote learning during lockdown and we asked them to suggest ways that the Federation could improve further. The children were engaged in their learning throughout the day and their behaviour was amazing! We could not be any prouder of them.
Wishing you a happy EID Mubarak if you are celebrating this special occasion with your family and loved ones.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone,
Miss J. Concannon Federation Headteacher
Exciting News and a Sad Goodbye and Warm Wishes
We are very excited to let you know that some of our teachers across the Federation would like to share with you all the wonderful news that they are expecting! At Knaphill Lower School, Miss Wisdom and Miss Kell are both expecting new arrivals in September and at Knaphill School, Mrs Saunders and Mrs Constantinou will both be expecting their second child in the first half of the Autumn term.
I am sure you will all join me in congratulating them on this wonderful new chapter of their lives! We would like to also share the news with you all that Mrs Hague in our Office Team at Knaphill Lower School leaves us today to start a new role working for the NHS. Mrs Hague has worked at Knaphill Lower School for 13 years.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her hard work and commitment and wish her every happiness in her new exciting adventure!
The Big Ask Survey
Surrey County Council wants to encourage every child and young person living in Surrey to take part in a new national survey, launched on Monday, 19 April, by the Children’s Commissioner for England, “The Big Ask” survey wants to hear from as many children as possible. The aim is to inform the Government what children and young people really think and to help improve children’s lives in the future. The survey is for children and young people between 4-17 years old. It is completely anonymous and does not ask children to submit any directly identifiable information.
Please note; Easy read versions of the survey are also available. For more details and to complete the survey, visit; The Big Ask Survey.
