Dear Parents and Guardians,
It has been an action packed week and all of the children have continued to work extremely hard and have been impressing their teachers every day. The teachers have been extremely proud of their achievements and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing some truly fantastic work. Our Assembly theme this week looked at Perseverance, trying to do our best and to keep going even when things get difficult or a bit tricky! We linked it to our learning both at school and at home and thought about times when we had all felt like giving up, but didn’t! We discussed collaborative learning and how we can often achieve things and face challenges by working together and having help from those around us.

A big well done to all those children who completed the Reading Stars Challenge during Book Week. We entered all the names into a prize draw, and we are very excited to announce that our two lucky winners are Kayden in Year 2 at the Lower School and Jacob R in Year 4 at the Junior School. Thank you so much to all those who entered!

We hope you have all had a FUNNY Friday and enjoy the weekend ahead. See you all on Monday!

Best wishes,
Miss J. Concannon
Federation Headteacher

Surrey’s Safer Travel Team

Our schools are assisting Surrey County Council’s Safer Travel Team to undertake research with parents of primary aged pupils’ types of travel to and from school.

The objective of the research is to develop a better understanding of the different types of travel, how frequently they’re used, why that type is used, and if that
preferred type has changed or been influenced by Covid19.

Once the Safer Travel Team have collected and analysed this information provided by parents, their goal is to obtain a better understanding of journeys to school, so they can continue encouraging safer and more active travel to school for all children in Surrey.

Please could I ask that you review and complete the survey using the link below. The closing date for completing the survey is 11.59pm on 16th April and the survey should be completed for each child that attends our school. If you have another child who attends a separate primary school, please complete an additional survey.

Thank you for continuing to support our school to improve pupils’ journeys to school.

Testing for Households and Bubbles of School Pupils and Staff

eligible for twice weekly symptom-free testing.

Please note, children and young people will continue to be tested via their school or college testing scheme. School and college staff can access home testing kits via
their workplace.

Please read ‘How to get a test in Surrey’ and full details:  COVID-19 Testing for households and bubbles of school pupils and of staff.
